Sque Zoom Integration: User Guide

Step-by-step guide to adding, using, and removing the Sque Zoom integration — including Ask Sque Agent meeting recordings, client booking links, and calendar conferencing.

Overview

The Sque Zoom integration connects your Zoom account to Sque so you can schedule Zoom meetings from Bookings and Calendar, sync meeting metadata, and invite Ask Sque Agent (SqueBot) to record and summarise client calls. Authorization is per user — each attorney connects their own Zoom account.

This guide covers how to add the app, use each feature, remove the integration, and resolve common issues. It is written for Sque end users and administrators evaluating the Zoom Marketplace listing.

Prerequisites

Sque account

An active Sque firm account with access to Settings → Integrations. Ask Sque Agent (meeting recordings) may require a plan that includes Voice features — check Settings → Subscriptions.

Zoom account

A Zoom user account with permission to authorize third-party apps. If your organisation restricts Marketplace apps, ask your Zoom admin to approve Sque first.

Browser access

OAuth authorization opens in your system browser. Pop-up blockers must allow the redirect back to Sque after you approve access.

Adding the Sque app

You can authorize Sque from the Zoom App Marketplace or from inside Sque. Both paths complete the same OAuth connection.

Option A — From the Zoom App Marketplace

  1. 1

Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace with your Zoom account.

  2. 2

Search for Sque (or open the direct listing link provided by your firm).

  3. 3

Click Add on the Sque app listing page.

  4. 4

Review the requested permissions and click Allow to authorize.

  5. 5

When redirected to Sque, sign in if prompted. You land on Settings → Integrations with Zoom shown as Connected.

Option B — From Sque (Visit Site to Add)

  1. 1

Sign in to Sque at your firm workspace (for example, https://app.sque.ai).

  2. 2

Open Settings → Integrations from the settings sidebar.

  3. 3

Find Zoom under Communication and click Connect.

  4. 4

Complete the Zoom OAuth flow in the browser window — review permissions and click Allow.

  5. 5

Return to Sque. The integration card shows Connected when authorization succeeds.

Sque requests only the Zoom permissions needed for the features described in this guide. The exact permission list appears on the Zoom authorization screen before you approve.

Using the integration

After Zoom is connected, the following features become available in Sque.

Ask Sque Agent (meeting recordings)

  1. 1

Open Ask Sque Agent from the left navigation (/squebot).

  2. 2

Click New recording and paste your Zoom meeting link (or invite link).

  3. 3

Optionally link a matter so billing context is captured automatically.

  4. 4

The bot joins at meeting start, transcribes the call, and produces a summary with action items when the meeting ends.

Inform all meeting participants that the session will be recorded. Your firm is responsible for compliance with applicable recording-consent laws.

Client booking pages

If you use Sque Bookings, connected Zoom accounts can automatically attach a Zoom link when a client books time with you. Enable Zoom as the conferencing provider in your booking page settings.

Calendar events

When creating a calendar event in Sque, select Zoom as the conferencing provider to generate a meeting link on the event. Requires both Calendar and Zoom integrations to be connected.

Meeting sync

Sque can sync your Zoom meeting metadata so upcoming meetings appear in your Sque activity timeline. Sync runs after connection and on demand from the integrations settings where available.

Removing the Sque app

You can disconnect Sque from Zoom in two ways. Use either method — both stop Sque from accessing your Zoom account going forward.

Option 1 — Remove from the Zoom App Marketplace

  1. 1

Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.

  2. 2

Click Manage in the top-right corner.

  3. 3

On the left, click Added Apps.

  4. 4

    Find Sque and click Remove.

  5. 5

Optionally select a reason, then click Remove to confirm.

  6. 6

Zoom sends a deauthorization notice to Sque. Your connection status in Sque updates to Disconnected.

Option 2 — Disconnect from Sque

  1. 1

Sign in to Sque and open Settings → Integrations.

  2. 2

Find Zoom and click Disconnect (or Remove).

  3. 3

Confirm in the dialog. Sque revokes the stored access token and marks the integration as disconnected.

What happens to your data after removal

TopicWhat happens
New Zoom accessSque stops syncing new Zoom meetings and cannot create new Zoom links on your behalf.
Existing recordingsMeeting recordings and transcripts already saved in Sque remain unless you delete them manually.
OAuth tokensTokens are deleted from Sque when you disconnect. Sque cannot access your Zoom account after removal.
Scheduled botsBots already queued may fail to join if you disconnect before the meeting starts.

Troubleshooting

Zoom shows Connected in Sque but the bot does not join my meeting

Confirm you pasted a valid Zoom meeting invite link (not just a meeting ID). Check that the meeting has not ended and that your Sque plan includes Ask Sque Agent. If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect Zoom from Settings → Integrations.

The OAuth window closes without connecting

Disable pop-up blockers for app.sque.ai and zoom.us. Try the flow again from Settings → Integrations → Connect. If your firm uses SSO, ensure you are signed in to the correct Zoom account before authorizing.

I do not see Zoom in Settings → Integrations

Your firm admin may have restricted communication integrations. Contact your Sque firm administrator or Sque support.

Zoom links are not generated on booking pages

Verify Zoom is connected under Settings → Integrations and that Zoom is selected as the conferencing provider on your booking page. Re-save the booking page after connecting Zoom.

My organisation blocks Marketplace apps

Ask your Zoom account administrator to pre-approve the Sque app for your Zoom tenant, then retry authorization from Sque.

I removed the app in Zoom but Sque still shows Connected

Refresh the Integrations page. If status is stale, click Disconnect in Sque to clear the connection locally. Deauthorization from Zoom is processed automatically within a few minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Zoom integration firm-wide or per user?

Per user. Each attorney connects their own Zoom account. Admins can see connection status but not meeting content.

Does Sque store my Zoom password?

No. Sque uses OAuth tokens issued by Zoom. Passwords are never stored.

Can I use Zoom without enabling Ask Sque Agent?

Yes. You can connect Zoom only for booking links and calendar conferencing without scheduling any meeting bots.

What Zoom account types are supported?

Any Zoom user account that can authorize Marketplace apps. Some features may require a paid Zoom plan depending on your Zoom subscription.

Where can I find Zoom's privacy terms for this integration?

See the Sque Privacy Policy and Conferencing addendum at sque.ai/privacy. Zoom's terms apply to data processed directly by Zoom during authorization and meeting hosting.
